Camping – it’s that ol’ holiday tradition we love, with memories that make us smile. But sometimes, the thought of organising a holiday camping adventure can be a tad overwhelming. To take a bit of the pressure off, Discovery Parks – Barossa Valley have just added a luxurious new set of Safari Tents to their already wondrous park, so you can have all the fun of camping, but with a bit more ease and comfort, and a touch of luxury (yes please!).
The luxe tents are a great option for that romantic escape you’ve been meaning to plan, a weekend away with a special mate, or even a group getaway (with multiple tents available to book). It’s also a great way to get out and about and exploring one of our fantastic nearby regions – the Barossa just an hours drive from Adelaide.
Not your average tents, the new Safari Tents are more like mini fabric mansions, with open-plan living spaces complete with king (or twin) bed, ensuite, pantry and vineyard views. After all, it wouldn’t be a trip to the Barossa without a view of the vines from under the covers.
To add to the offering, you get to feel extra special on your stay with some exclusive park extras, accessible only to safari tent guests. There’s your very own private BBQ area as well as a fire pit, heated swimming pool and spa, so you can sizzle your snags on the barbie and dip your toes in the bubbly spa at the same time. Ooh la la! This is the stuff glamping dreams are made of.
The best part? Everything is all sorted for you on arrival, so all you have to do is book, pack your bags and head up to the beautiful Barossa. Once you’re settled in, you can treat yourself to the delicious drops and foodie feasts that await on your doorstep. The park is just off Murray Street right by Tanunda, conveniently located amongst a scattering of Barossa’s top offerings. Turkey Flat vineyards are just next door, while Barossa Valley Brewing is a hop, skip and a jump up the road. If you’re new to the area, the visitor information centre is not far away either, a short drive into the centre of the town of Tanunda.
