Put your lederhosen and your dirndls on and make your way to the German Club for a glittery games night hosted by the one and only Hans, Boy Wonder of Berlin. Start your weekend guiltlessly early, with proceeds supporting Fringe artists. It’s bound to be an evening of camp extravagance, free flowing beer and plenty of belly laughs.

2. Ice Skating In The Square
Like a Christmas in Rockefeller Plaza, Victoria Square will transform into snowy winter wonderland for all your gliding and sliding needs. Surrounded by the glowing city lights and carnival rides, enjoy ice skating and snow tubing for all ability levels. Don’t forget to bring an extra pair of fluffy socks to pad the inside of your rental skates so you can whiz around the rink for hours.

3. Zero Waste Masterclass
It can be hard to know what steps to take to lighten our footprint on the world. Join the author of ‘A Zero Waste Life’, Anita Vandyke, for a masterclass running you through the fun and easy ways that you can take action.

4. NRL Sydney Roosters vs Melbourne Storm
Pour into the grandstands for round 16 as the Sydney Roosters and the Melbourne Storm go head-to-head. The last time these teams met in Adelaide, the Roosters claimed a golden-point victory, so no matter the winner, you’re definitely in for a good game with some of the sport’s biggest names.

5. Central Market Vegan Cooking Demo
Preceding the Adelaide Vegan Festival, the organisers are hosting a vegan cooking demonstration full of winter warmer recipes with ingredients straight from the Central Markets. They’ll upload the recipes at the end of each demo so you can collect fresh produce for your own plant-based cook up, before you leave.

6. Red Donut Day
There’s only one day a year you can grab yourself a red Villi’s donut and it’s on their annual fundraiser day for SIDS and Kids SA. Brighten up your Friday by wearing red for the cause, or by taking a huge bite of the sweetest of treats, available from your local Foodland or Bunnings café.

7. Hot 100 Winter Harvest
Enjoy riverbank views from above and celebrate 100 of South Australia’s most drinkable wines at Winter Harvest. Make sure you book for the incredible events led by industry gurus. 8. Unley Repair Café
Don’t throw it in the bin, if it’s broke, fix it… for free! Pop down to the Repair Café for their June session to keep you and your favourite items together for as long as can be. If you’re a handy-person with a skill that can mend for the masses, get in touch with the team. Otherwise, come revive your broken toasters, stopped watches and favourite ripped sweaters.

9. Wine And Woofers
Make a detour on your way back from the dog park and bring your beloved pooch for an afternoon vino with some fellow canine-enthusiasts. There’ll be treats for all good dogs, but unfortunately there are no bad bitches allowed, so ensure your furry friend is socialised before bringing them to the bar.

10. Wintertime Snow And Shine
Whether you drive a beast or a lemon, park it under the stars and walk over to the undercover carpark between Aldi and JB Hi-Fi at Westfield Marion this Saturday. Expect a scene straight out of The Fast and the Furious, but with less Vin Diesel and more jumping castles and volunteers in hi-vis. With DJ’s, merchandise tents, family activities and prize giveaways, there’s a lot more than cool cars and horsepower here. Enjoy the festivities and then join the convoy for a cruise around the area (route secret until the night).
